55 it is!

Photo challenge day 55 is here and today is about- A picture of the last movie you saw in theaters.

Well, although I posted about it just a few days ago, here is goes again. The last movie I saw in theaters was "Water for Elephants" and I loved it.

It was a wonderful story about entertainment, the magic of circus living, love, passion and specially animal compassion. I really enjoyed it and can't wait until is out on dvd so I can own a copy.

Here's a video (courtesy of youtube.com) with the trailer for those that feel like checking it out.

Also on another note about animals, today I want to share some very cool pictures of a very cool animal that I've encounter myself in the wild before, many people probably never really seen one, there are quite a few in Costa Rica and they are fairly harmless (pictures were sent to me by a friend from back home).

Here it is, can you guess what kind of animal it is???

Now, when this animal gets scared, he becomes like a ball for protection and "camouflage"... like this:

Pretty cool, right?

Well, if you guessed right, then you know that it is an Anteater. I believe they are related to sloths and armadillos and sort of looks like a Aardvark but not quite.

Well, like any other animals I think they are fabulous and wish one day again I get to see one in the wild!

Have a great Saturday!!!

deserted?

Photo Challenge Day 54 - A picture of the one thing you would bring if you were stranded on a deserted island.

Well, if I was to be stranded on and island it probably wouldn't be by choice, so it's not like I would literary bring something, but nevertheless if I was giving the option of bringing just one thing, I think it would go for...

a blanket!!!

Yeah I guess I could also bring some kind of tool to help me cut stuff.  But I just feel a blanket could protect me from the cold at night, mosquitoes, from the sun during the day (in case I need shade), and I can also use it as a pillow...

Of course you can't really open a coconut with a blanket, or start a fire, but it would surely make my nights and perhaps days much more comfortable.

What about you? What would you bring to a deserted island (that is not a person)???

************************

So now that the Royal Wedding is over, Kate Middleton asks the queen "what's the secret to a long and happy marriage?" to which she replies "wear a seatbelt and don't piss me off"!!!!!!! LOL

Just a little joke to put us in the spirit of "royal love", hahaha...

Happy weekend to everybody!!!!

Hot or Not?

Photo Challenge Day 53- A picture of someone you think is HOT!

Well, since I've used my husband plenty of times for this challenge, I guess I am going to have to go with another person that is hot, but of course, not as hot and wonderful as my hubby, plus not as lucky cause he doesn't have me as a wife, LOL!

A person that I think is also very steaming hot is no other than Robert Downey Jr. I mean, look at him dirty and all, I'll take him!

Not only he is hot, but also charming, stylish and sexy... Every since I saw him in "Less than Zero" back in 1987 I've always found him to be one of the best looking man in Hollywood. And like a good red wine, he's only getting better with age!

Besides being good looking, he's also a pretty good actor. I am glad he got his life in order after a few years of "not so good" behavior, looks like he is much happier now too!!!

What do you think of R.D. Jr? Hot or not???

On another note, did I mentioned how excited I am about the upcoming Royal Wedding????

No I didn't, because I am not excited at all!!!

I mean don't get me wrong, it's not like I am not happy for Will and (mhhh... is it Kate?) yes, Kate. It's just that it doesn't really makes much a difference in my life and in theirs, if I am excited or not about their event.

Besides, I love to sleep so I could probably say there are not that many good reason why I would wake up at 3 am to see a wedding broadcast. So there, I said it.

Now, if this revelation makes you decided to stop reading or even following my blog, so be it, I guess it's going to be a burden I'm going to have to live with, for the rest of my days... LOL!

Any who... Now to some more interesting and amazing events, tomorrow is Friday and believe or not the Cayman Island being a British colony has declared it national holiday, as if! Oh well, I will have to work but just from 9am to 3pm, then the weekend arrives, THAT I'm excited for!!!

Have a great day!!!

Dejavu Day

Day 51- A picture of your favorite Sport.

No, I am not having dejavu, this day on my photo challenge is already happened, on day 10 it asked for the same exact thing, so if you feel like reading that again, click here.

But if you don't feel about reading about my favorite sport then stick around as today I am going to "get crazy" and post beyond my photo challenge for a change!

Monday night my hubby & I, went out on a date. first we had an "early bird" dinner at a very nice place called Michael's Genuine Restaurant, the food was good and the place is very nice.

I believe it is the "sister" restaurant of another one located in Miami, Florida.

For food, we both had the house salad that was simply delicious (arugula lettuge, chucks of bacon, apricots, walnuts, feta cheese and some kind of vinaigrette), then I had a seafood gumbo and my husband had a peppered steak with mash potatoes.

The restaurant is located at a very nice area in George Town called Camana Bay, a place fulls of retail stores, offices, restaurants, coffee shops, outdoor fountains, kids playgrounds, a marina and cinemas.

But back to Michael's it is a very nice place, food was good, atmosphere was great and it offers both indoor and outdoor sitting.

We had a great time and I think we might be back again.

After dinner we went to the movies and watched "Water for Elephants" and I loved it. It's a great story (heard the book is better, as always!), the actors did well and specially Reese Witherspoon was perfect for the part she played.

I recommend this movie and I think I might try to get my hands on the book as well...

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

get out of my dreams, get into my car!

Day 51- A picture of your dream car.

Since dreaming is free (unlike most things nowadays), when it comes to dreams I have a few, so when it comes to dream cars I have at least 2.

One is a "manly" looking car but one that I would love to have in a place where there lots of mountains, lots of rough terrains and mud to drive it with passion. If live in such place (like my home country Costa Rica) I would totally love to have this car...

4 or 2 door would do... and in any color!
Now, for a more modern, girlie look my choice would be, a simple but beautiful car, a new VW Beetle, convertible or not!
this is the car that I would really LOVE to have!

Now, I guess I'm not very posh for when it comes to dream cars, and it's not that I don't think BMW's, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar and many of the other luxurious cars out there are not nice.

But, if I was to go beyond the dream and make it a reality these would definitely be my first choices, specially because having a car is not just driving it, you have to clean it, give it maintenance and pay for gas... so I guess as long as it's a dream car I could afford any of those, otherwise, not!!!

Talking about gas prices, here on the island it's out of control, ck out the picture I took at a gas station around the island... LOL!

Have a great day!!!

50 today!

Testing 1,2,3... testing 1,2,3... "Is this thing on?" Can you read me now??? It's been so quiet around my blog lately, not many comments that I am even doubting if there's anybody else around. Hope this means people out and about or resting during this past few days...

Anywho... I did it! I've made it to half way on my 100 Day Photo Challenge, and I am specially proud to say that I've not missed a single day so far... now part 2 of this challenge starts tomorrow.

Today's photo challenge is kind of weird, it calls to post a picture of what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Now, since I am not clairvoyant it would be hard to tell, but I am hoping I would be; waking up, eating breakfast, driving to work and selling lots and lots of art. Also I would probably be blogging.

On another note. I am starting to think about the next giveaway and I hope I'll be announcing it soon, so stay tuned.

And last but not least, today's my Moms Birthday, so I would like to mention it today, as she is a very, super special person in my life, and without her I just plain wouldn't be here today, I LOVE YOU MAMI!!!

Hope everybody had a blessed Easter Week!

West Bay, Cayman Islands

Photo Challenge Day 49 is today. It's amazing to think that tomorrow I will be 1/2 done with the photo challenge. At times it seems fun but at times there are certain challenges that seem kind of weird but I will prevail and continue posting a picture as best as I can.

Today's photo challenge is: A picture of where I live.

Well, for those that don't know where I live, our house is located in West Bay, Cayman Islands and if where coming on a plane from the North (usually Miami, Houston, etc), this is where I live.

pretty nice, isn't it???
Well, now that you know where I live, please feel free to come visit anytime, see you soon...

Happy Sunday and beginning of a new week for all!!!
