The challenge today calls for a photo of something that means a lot to me, so I've decided to share with you today my most lovable teddy bear from when I was a kid, given to me by my Dad among many others, but this one just simply stole my heart.
He's old, sort of dirty, not very soft anymore but full of all the memories of each night I hold him by my side; because I couldn't sleep, I was scared of some weird noise, or simply because cuddling him meant I was safe and in a wonderful bed.
Now time has passed and although you can see each year on him, that makes him just more special and unique... I believe he came from a carnival stand somewhere in Costa Rica, probably even hand made...
Even his eyes are almost faded completely, his muzzle is almost flat, but I can still see him like brand new, the first time he came into life... When I first led eyes on him, I knew he was here to stay, love u Osito, you mean a lot to me!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

What a wonderful old blue Teddy!! I'm sure he kept you safe year after year! I had a Swan....debbie
Aw, isn't he just precious! I also have a childhood teddy - in complete tatters - but I remember him so vividly from my childhood. What amazingly strong connections we establish in childhood.
P.S. No... STILL no parcel. I valiantly trot to the post office each day in the hope of a little package, but I'm sure it will make it here eventually. I do promise to let you know the moment it arrives.
He is SO cute and absolutely full of love and comfort. A wise man once told me, that as a child you sort of "lodge" and put into your teddy bear all the love and care and good vibrations. And then, when you feel sad, frightened og lonely, you go and pick up your teddy bear, and what you have put into it, will come right back to you again - does that make sense? I also have a very old teddy bear with straw inside it, and my mother knitted some clothes for him. He is still with me, and I have arranged with my two daughters, that when I´m gone, they will share him and have him for half a year (as an example) each. Thanks for sharing that dear photo :-)
PS Concerning your photo challange about writing a book; I am sure /know, that there are courses and books, which can help you to better express what you want to come across. However, I also believe, that if one writes freely and from the heart and inner feelings, it is unique, and no books can teach you how to do that. And your posts are so well written and special, so just to say, that it really does come across to your "readers" on the blog! :-)
That reminds me of my old Teddy Bear! Mine was brown though.
