Friday Letters

The "business" week is officially over in the next few hours and the weekend will be here!!!!

Today I am once again trying the whole "Friday Letters" thing just because it's kinda growing on me... So without further a due;

Dear morning minutes: what is up with you guys? When I am getting ready in the morning a 5 minute lapse feel more like 5 seconds, specially when I'm walking around the house grabbing the last couple of things to go to work, I think it's a conspiracy.

Dear Randon Thursday @ Linny's Vault: Sorry I missed the link up yesterday, so instead I decided to include you today. Yesterday's theme was "Embarrassing Celebrity Crushes", so here are my choices (in no specific order.

#1 Phillip Seymour Hoffman: I know he is a bit chunky but I love all the characters he chooses to play plus he's got this sort of mystery "look" to him.

#2 Darren Criss: Yes I know he is young, I could perhaps be his mother (well if I had kids when I was like 15!)... He is also on Glee (one my favorite shows) and plays a gay highschool boy... But he is still young and has a lot of (hopefully) successful career ahead of him. Oh, did I mention he can carry a tune? Of course, he is on Glee!!!

#3 John Malkovich: Well, I know he can be kinda weird, bad bod type of dude plus he plays crazy roles, I find him very manly and very attractive.

#4 Jack Black: A bit on the chunky side, but all looks apart, he is such a fun guy that I imagine he is very much the same is real life; he can rock, joke and even Kong Fu as a Panda, LOL! Would love to meet him in person.

#5 John Cusack: He is totally the boy next door kind of guy for me, not very good looking but he has a "je ne sais quoi" to him that I really like!

And those are probably my "Embarrassing Celebrity Crushes" [well, that I can think of right now]!

What about you, any embarrassing crushes you'll like to share with me?!?!?

Dear month of February: I am thankful for each and every day you are made off,  specially the 23rd being the day I first saw the light of day about 30ish years ago. But this year I am specially happy that you are only made out of 28 days because that way March 8th is closer and that's the day I will be getting on a plane to head back home to see my family, yipee!

Dear "30 Rock" series: You are officially finished and I will miss you, there's still a piece, well, I should say a BIG piece of you, more like the whole series on my little terra bite computer drive, LOL! So although I could watch reruns of your hilariousness over an over again and for as long as I want, it would never be the same, specially without Kenneth Parcel's wisdom!!!

Dear "A Photo a Day" Photo Blog: I am so sorry I've been slacking lately and not posting very much, promise to do a better job and at least post every day from Monday to Friday.

Dear Readers: If you feel like giving some love to my other blog, please head over there and check out some pretty cool photos, just click here!

Dear Weekend Weather: I hope you continue to be as nice as you've been this past couple of days, specially in the afternoon when the sun is coming down and there's not a cloud in the sky so the sunset greet us with all sorts of colors. We are going to our friends Christian's 40th birthday on Saturday and a sunset cruise is taking us to the party, so you being part of the celebration would be awesome!!!

Happy Weekend!!!

We were Jammin'

Hello Thursday, glad to see you back with another edition of Throwback Thursday.

As yesterday was Bob Marley's birthday today I am sharing a throwback from 2 years ago when The Wailers came to the islands to serenade us on concert!

Not my best photo, but I was so happy to be there, I don't really care how I look!

We had a wonderful time at this concert, specially cause of the company (as my brother and SIL were living on the island), also this is the closest I've ever been to Bob in real life, other that the time I've visit his house/museum in Kingston, Jamaica.

Oh, such great memories and good times!

Now, if you feel like sharing your own throwback, just link next

Happy Thursday!!!

@rt at Governor's

Every year there's a very nice art show at the gardens of the Governors house and this year was not the exception.

We visited on Saturday but unfortunately the "main event" at the garden was not opened yet so we only browsed around the outside "vendors" and I took some photos.

Wished we had stayed longer and visit the gardens, unfortunately we had other errands to run as well as a commitment to visit a new restaurant that just open at a friend's marina... such a nice place as well!

February Fun

Well, the first weekend of February has come and gone but it was such a fun time, so I am going to update day by day, starting today with Friday's party.

Wow, it was a crazy busy day during the day getting ready for Island Air Show, finally made it to the place at 4:30 to try to set up for it. Unfortunately they put in the worst area of the whole hangar, which was right at the service entrance which meant I was unable to set up because there were people coming and going plus it was full of junk from cables, crates, bags, etc...

I do have to say I actually did not take a photo of our display because I wasn't very happy with the final setup, but oh well, it was a fun night anyway!

The party was huge, with lots of people (around 1,500!), there were private planes, helicopters, cars and boat on display among other things...

Here are some photos of the early set up time.

As the night started to kick in, lots of people started to show up...

There were bars for all sorts of taste and desire, a Stolichnaya one, a Martini Tanquerai gin one, a James Bond Heineken one, plus a wine bar too!!!

Plus yummy treats and food everywhere!

treats!

So, as the night went by I decided to just hang out with my private plane, no big deal...

Ah! It was definitely a unique night and very much fun, glad we participated.

On another note, last night we watched the Super Bowl on a pretty nice set up big screen by my friend's pool. It was a good game considering I do not like football or follow it at all but it was fun.

The night was kind of chilly and very windy, I was wearing my "rain coat/wind breaker" the whole night and my husband was also wearing a jacket but earlier on he was already complaining of a sore throat, today he wake up already sick and now he is home officially sick, poor baby, hope he gets well soon!

Hope everybody's weekend was fun too!

Have a great Monday!
